Hire Bakewell Old House Museum for paranormal investigations, corporate evening events, wine, beer and food tastings, drinks receptions, filming, wedding/engagement photography, and anything else you can think of! We offer full and exclusive access to the museum outside of our regular closing times of 11:00 – 16:00 (25th March to 5th November). Winter bookings can make use of the building at any time as we are closed to the public but it does get a bit cold sometimes.

Paranormal investigations
We are one of the most popular paranormal investigation sites in Derbyshire and the Peak District. The whole museum is available to explore for groups of up to 25 people from after our closing time of 16:00 all the way through to 02:00 (or even through the night by negotiation).
The extremely varied history of Bakewell Old House Museum makes it a brilliant experience when the sun goes down.
Filming & Wedding / Engagement Photography
The many period features and unique setting of the Old House makes it a perfect location for all manner of filming purposes. Whether you need a set for a historical film, horror or documentary, the Old House will add an extra touch of authenticity to your production. We welcome filming enquiries from all levels from student productions through to big-budget blockbusters.
Our period features also make the Old House an incredible setting for photography shoots. Whether you are looking to do an engagement, wedding or a promotional shoot, our original Tudor beams, fireplaces and screens will make an incredibly atmospheric backdrop to your photographs.
Corporate hire, wine tastings, drinks receptions etc.
There are many spaces in the Old House which are perfect for an evening event. You could chose the main Tudor Hall which can seat 25 people banquet style or 45 people in theatre with its authentic beams and huge open fireplace. Or for a more intimate experience, the Tudor Parlour can seat 15 people banquet style or 25 people in theatre. Our galleries are also open for hire with the ability to drink points (for example) throughout the museum.
Or you could combine all of these and hire the whole museum for your event.
